With the rolling slat system, bunkie boards are not needed. Mattresses are placed directly on the slats. Sturdy 2" x 2" solid pine legs for superior strength and stability. The 37-1/2" gap between the upper and lower side rails allow most adults to sit comfortably on the lower bed. The angled ladder with flat steps makes it easy and safe to climb. Dado joints are used on the ladder steps for strength. The special ladder hooks cannot be dislodged accidentally.
