 | DESK CHAIR BASES FINISHEDAs promised, please find attached some pictures of the chairs that I created using the bases I got from Unfinished Furniture Expo.
Essentially, I bought chairs that I liked, cut the legs off, remade the seats (for strength) and upholstered them in moss colored ultrasuede.
As for the bases, I disassembled them, used a 1/4" quarter round router bit to round off the sharp edges on the legs, matched the stain by mixing 2 colors, finished them with satin urethane, and attached them using bolts through the base.
